Support Groups

The transition to motherhood can be hard enough on its own and it is even more difficult if you are also adjusting to a new body and focusing on healing from a severe obstetric injury. This can sometimes be a lonely time and we want to ensure that you know you are not alone and belong to an amazing community of strong women.

We offer weekly support groups to help you through your healing journey. There are two support groups, one that is solely for mothers and one for mothers and their primary support person. These support groups are hosted by three of our exceptional volunteers: Kary Gillenwaters, Lindsay Dorka, and Melissa Buddie, LCSW. If you would like to know a little more about our hosts, please see our Meet the Team Page.

In order to sign up for our support groups click here. We will email you with what you can expect from our support group as well as guidelines for attending our support groups. Of note, these support groups are not intended to provide specific therapeutic intervention or consultation. The support groups are not intended to be group therapy but to supply you with a sense of support and community.
